The new URDG 758 will enter into force on 1 July 2010, following a two year revision process under the aegis of the ICC Banking and Commercial Law Commissions. They create a new set of independent guarantee rules for the 21st Century, containing new definitions and interpretation rules to provide greater certainty in demand guarantee practice.
