Special Event - Whether you are already exporting to this region or thinking about it, particularly post-Brexit, this course is for you. Gabriela Castro-Fontoura, an expert consultant supporting UK companies in Latin America and S&H associate for over 5 years, is coming over to Manchester from Uruguay to deliver this unmissable workshop with our Managing Partner, Sandra Strong.

It will look at what you need to have in place to succeed? How much time, money and human resources will this region take? Are you ready for Latin America now? Gabriela will then focus on some key sectors and key markets, going deeper into Chile, Colombia, Peru, Argentina and Uruguay. She will discuss regional trade agreements (and how they work, or don't) as well as the attractive but less-explored option of using free trade zones for exports.

Sandra Strong will join Gabriela to look at specific customs procedures, duties, taxes, Free Trade Agreements and export paperwork we all love.

How to find distributors in this region and how to manage them is the next topic of Gabriela's interactive presentation (expect to get really involved!) to give you practical advice that will really help you find the best partners, get them interested in what you sell, and build a strong relationship with them, even when language barriers exist.

Finally, Gabriela will discuss business travel, market visits and trade shows, and some practicalities of doing business in Latin America, from her every day experience in this exciting continent and her over 40 trips across the region in the last 5 years, covering countries such as the ones already mentioned as well as Brazil, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama and Paraguay. We can assure you that this will be a full-on session with plenty of practical advice but also a very strategic view of the whole region. Gabriela is passionate about doing business in Latin America and her workshops are full of energy, real examples and practical experience.
