Valuing goods for Customs Purposes is a key area of International Trade Compliance, if you get your valuation of goods right there are potential customs duty savings.  All goods need to be valued correctly for customs purposes whether it is a sale or free of charge movement. The WTO Valuation Agreement lays down specific Rules of valuing goods for customs purposes and it is an important area of international trade compliance. In this day we will review the Articles of the WTO Agreement, the 6 Methods of Valuation, establishing Transfer Prices of Customs Purposes but all with a practical objective. The course is updated to include the impact of the Union Customs Code (UCC) on valuation.  Previous experience or prior attendance on Import or Essential Guide to Customs Procedures is recommended.
