I understand there is a new set of the Incoterms rules were introduced in 2012. Can you give me some more information?

No, no, no - there has not been a new set of Incoterms Rules issued in 2012 or any other year since 2010.  The current set of the Incoterms ® rules came into force on 1st January 2011( called the 2010 set) . Strong & Herd LLP were pleased to be part of the UK National Review Committee at the ICC -UK.  Though there weren't many noticeable changes - apart from within the "D" group, the new set has been adjusted to reflect current international trade issues such as supply chain security and the greater control by customs authorities on identifying the importers and exporters of record, ie who is legally responsible. International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) so caution must be taken when using these terms. S&H runs courses on the 2010, as well as there being an on-line training option plus books/ wallcharts can be ordered through out website.

We do not expect to see a revised Incoterms Rules until 2020 - but we will keep you updated.
