What are Combiterms?

Combiterms are an official accepted Swedish variation on the Incoterm (International Commercial Terms) set of trade terms published by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). They attempt to clarify the Cost Distribution between seller and buyer in Incoterms particularly in connection with the various steps in the practical aspects of the supply chain. There is a summary of Combiterms as an annexe at the end of the official ICC Guide to Incoterms 2000 (ISBN 92 842 1269 3).

Combiterms, unlike Incoterms have no legal standing or world agreement therefore may be difficult to impose and not recommended for contracting.

Advice from the ICC on the 2010 set is to ignore Combiterms.
