Diploma in Customs Compliance & Regulations

Starting September 2013 a new diploma in Customs Compliance & Regulations.  The Qualification is via the Institute of Export & International Trade and the Anglia Ruskin University.  Strong & Herd LLP have contributed to the structure of this Diploma and provided the majority of writing reference material. Sandra Strong will also be the prime tutor for students interested in a qualification linked directly to International Customs Regulations.

There are 4 Modules each requiring 6 months study work with optional interim assessments (500-750 word) and a mandatory final dissertation (3000 words).  The 4 modules must be completed within 4 years of the start of study to be accepted as a full diploma.  In addition, a 5th module (taken from the options within Module 4) can be taken to upgrade the qualification to a Degree.

Module 1 - World Customs Regulations and the Regulators

Module 2 - EU Customs Regulations, Legislation & Procedures (will be updated as information on the UCC is confirmed)

Module 3 UK Administration of Customs Procedures

Module 4 – International Compliance Project Work,  An project module of choice, areas include Export Licensing Controls, Import Logistics, Trade in Services, Food & Drink, and Excise Specifics, Customs Broker requirement, etc. 

Enrolment for single modules is also accepted although individual access to Modules 2-4 will not be available until 2014. Price £500.00 per module, £1,250.00 for all 4 modules.  Assignment assessments are charged at £130.00 and registration requires minimum of student membership of the IoE (£60.00 per annum). Face-to-face session on relevant topics are available through S&HLLP normal International Trade training programme in Manchester, London, Gateshead and Belfast (prices vary per course and location).
