Yemen to be 160th Member of the WTO

After 13 years of negotiations Yemen has been accepted as a new WTO member.  The accession package needs to be ratified by the Yemeni government who have 6 months to do so and Yemen will become the 160th member of the WTO 30 days after ratification.  Yemen will be the 35th Least Developed Country (LDC) to be a member. In addition the Seychelles completed their final round of negotiations in November 2013 paving the way for their accession package to be agreed early in 2014.
