EU licensing on fasteners

On 3rd June 2016 the European Union required fastener companies to obtain a prior licence to import an extensive range of steel and some stainless steel fasteners from any country outside its membership.   

Commission implementing Regulation 2016/670 (Official Journal L115 published on 29 April 2016) introduced a “Prior Surveillance” import licensing regime to monitor imports of iron and steel products into the European Union.

You will need an import licence to import any steel products falling to the commodity codes listed in Annex A arriving for Customs clearance into the UK or EU on or after 31 May 2016. Read More
