Iranian companies and banks removed from EU sanctions list

The European Commission has removed eight corporates, one individual, and two banks from its list of persons and entities subject to restrictive measures set out in Annex II to Decision 2010/413/CFSP concerning restrictive measures against Iran.

The corporates, removed pursuant to a number of judgments of the EU General Court, are: Moallem Insurance Company, Petropars Operations & Management Company, Petropars Resources Engineering Ltd, Iran Aluminium Company, Iran Liquefied Natural Gas Co., Hanseatic Trade Trust & Shipping (HTTS) GmbH, North Drilling Company, and Good Luck Shipping Company LLC.

The individual is Naser Bateni, general manager of the HTTS at the time of the relevant court proceedings.

Bank Melli, and Bank Saderat Iran are also now not included in the list of entities subject to restrictive measures.
