Posted on: 30/10/2017

Canada, Mexico and the USA concluded the fourth round of the renegotiation and modernisation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) on 17th October 2017.  Negotiators are said to have made progress in several negotiating groups, including customs and trade facilitation, digital trade, good regulatory practices and certain sectoral annexes.  Fifth round is to take place 7-21 November 2017 in Mexico City. Additional rounds are planned up to April 2018 (a departure from the pace of meeting every three weeks in previous rounds).
