Road Transport post Brexit:

European Commission Notice - Withdrawal of the UK and the EU rules in the field of road transport. It states that: “Subject to any transitional arrangement that may be contained in a possible withdrawal agreement, as of the withdrawal date, the EU rules in the field of road transport no longer apply to the United Kingdom. This has, in particular, the following consequences in the different areas of road transport:” And covers 5 key areas:

1.    Certificate of professional competence for road transport operators/transport managers:

2.    Driver attestation for third-country drivers:

3.    Certificate of professional competence for drivers:

4.    Driving licence – UK licences no longer valid and

5.    The international carriage of goods that in the Union is subject to possession of a Community licence, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1072/2009.  Therefore Hauliers established in the United Kingdom will no longer have access to the internal road haulage market in the Union.
