Trump to put extra duties on Aluminium & Steel Imports

1st March 2018 US President Trump said he had decided to levy tariffs of 25 percent on foreign-made steel and 10 percent on aluminum.  The EU responded by saying "We will not sit idly while our industry is it with unfair measures that put thousands of European jobs at risk.  EU will react firmly."

4th March 2018 a top trade adviser to President Donald Trump has said there will be no exemptions from US tariffs on steel and aluminium imports as the EU prepared retaliatory measures and officials warned of the risk of a transatlantic trade war (Financial Times report - see below for link)
