The CDS will be updated on the 8th April with release 5.1.0.1, without requiring downtime.
Users are to note the following.
- During this period, any pre-lodged declarations affected by the changes should be changed or amended prior to the goods arriving.
- If customs declarations are not corrected prior to arrival, they will be rejected.
ALL MOVEMENTS UPDATE
Warning of possible declaration rejections if inaccurate data is submitted in the following circumstances
Container Identification Number
A maximum of 99 Container Identification Numbers may be entered at the header level, and 99 at the goods item level for each goods item in DE 7/10.
Should more than 99 Container Identification Numbers be entered within DE 7/10 at either the header or item level, the declaration or CCR will be rejected.
This is a known issue and will be added to the Known Error Log.
Document Code C673
Document Status Code XW will no longer be valid when Document Code C673 is used.
If Document Code C673 is entered in DE 2/3 with a Status Code of XW, the declaration will be rejected.
Document Code 920C
Document Status Codes XA and XB will no longer be valid to use with Document code 920C
If Document Code 920C is entered in DE 2/3 with Status Code XA or XB, the declaration will be rejected.
Commodity Codes beginning with ‘0000’
There have been recorded instances of commodity codes beginning with ‘0000’ being declared within DE 6/14 and 6/15
These are not valid commodity codes and will cause declarations to be rejected.
It is important to use accurate commodity codes from the UK or NI Online Tariffs to support a customs declaration. Accurate goods classification is a necessity in law.
Total Number of Packages
The total Number of Packages declared in DE 6/18 at the header level cannot be a negative quantity.
Only a value greater than or equal to zero can be entered in DE 6/18.
Should a negative value be entered in DE 6/18, the declaration will be rejected.
New Goods Location Codes
New Goods Location Codes, or GLCs, have been added to the CDS. Appendix 16 will be updated with the details of these GLCs in due course.
IMPORT DECLARATION UPDATE
Additional Procedure Code F44
Affected Declaration Categories: H4
Affected Declaration Types: A, D, Y, Z
When the Additional Procedure Code F44 is entered within DE 1/11, a Valuation Method must also be entered in DE 4/16.
The Valuation Method entered can be any of the 6 valid Valuation Methods listed in the Declaration Completion Instructions for DE 4/16.
If the additional procedure code F44 is declared and no valuation method is entered in DE 4/16, the declaration will be rejected.
Additional Information Code TOR01
Additional Information (AI) Code TOR01, when entered in DE 2/2, must also be completed with one of the following APCs: C01, C42, or C43 in DE 1/11.
If AI Code TOR01 is entered in DE 2/2 and DE 1/11 does not contain one of C01, C42 or C43, the declaration will be rejected.
EXPORT DECLARATION UPDATE

Do not declare Quota Order Numbers in DE 8/1 on export movements.
