During this period, please note that any pre-lodged declarations affected by the changes should be changed/amended prior to the goods arriving. If customs declarations are not corrected prior to arrival, they will be rejected.

ALL MOVEMENTS UPDATE

Northern Ireland Movements Update reversion

Introduced within release 5.2.0, an update prevented certain Authorisation Types from being declared on Northern Ireland declarations.

This update to 5.2.0 will no longer apply after the 30th July.

Because of this, CDS will return to its prior 4th  July state.

The authorisation Type Code MIB will not be allowed on export declarations from Northern Ireland where AI Code ‘NIEXP’ has been declared; if so, the declaration will be rejected.

New error code message

A new error code message will be introduced for when a Procedure Code (PC) and Additional Procedure Code (APC) combination is incorrect.

This error code will cover:

When a procedure code requires completion of a specific additional procedure code

When an additional procedure code has been completed which is not compatible with the procedure code

New document codes

New Document Codes added: C127, C128, C129, Y081, Y682, Y683, Y684, Y685, Y763, Y770, 9L51, 9Y17, 9Y51 have been added to the CDS Code List.

Appendix 5A will be updated for full Completion Instructions for these codes.

New Goods Location Codes have been added

Appendix 16 will be updated after the release.

EXPORT UPDATE

Goods Item Amendment

Declaration Categories: B1, B2, B4, C1, C21E, C21EEIDR, B1MOU

CDS will accept an amendment to an export declaration that removes a goods item, provided there are still other items on the declaration.

If an amendment is made to a declaration that removes all goods items, the declaration will be rejected.

New Additional Information (AI) Code

BCPEX will be added to CDS exports; this code should only be used when instructed by HMRC to do so

Appendix 4B will be updated with the completion Instructions when declaring this AI Code within DE 2/2

Completion Instructions for Document Code C00’ have been updated as follows:

  • Document Status Code IA has been added for use with this code
  • Document Status Code XX is no longer valid for use with this code.
