NCTS System Maintenance

HMRC will be carrying out planned maintenance on the New Computerised Transit System (NCTS) on Monday, 1st June 2026, from 7 am to 9 am.

NCTS GB and NCTS XI data submitted during the period above will be held and processed once the maintenance activity has concluded and the service is available again.


  •  NCTS XI – 7 am to 9 am
  • NCTS GB – 7 am to 9 am

The de minimis duty-free rule for goods valued under €150 has been removed for certain low-value imports into the EU. From 1 July 2026, it has been replaced by a temporary €3 Customs duty per line item, particularly for goods falling within the EU distance sale rules.
