CDS 5.2.0 for release on the 4th July 2026. During this period, please note that any pre-lodged declarations affected by the changes should be amended before the goods arrive. If customs declarations are not correct prior to arrival, they will be rejected.
ALL MOVEMENTS UPDATE
Authorisation by Customs Declaration
When completing a declaration for or from a special procedure using Authorisation by Customs Declaration (ABD).
AI Code 00100 must always be used in conjunction with one or both of AI Codes ABDIN or ABDOU, and the declaration type must be one of either A or D.
Northern Ireland Movements
AI Codes NIDOM, NIIMP, NIEXP, which are declared in DE 2/2 on either a Northern Ireland Import or Export declaration, then the only permissible Authorisation Codes must be declared in DE 3/39.
Should one of the Authorisation Codes APEX, BRD, EXRR, or MIB in DE 3/39, alongside one of the AI Codes NIDOM, NIIMP, or NIEXP, be present, the declaration will be rejected.
INVENTORY IMPORT AND EXPORT UPDATE
Additional Procedure Code 61T
Declaration Categories: C21E, C21I and Declaration Types: J, K
When the additional procedure code (APC) 61T is declared in DE 1/11, the Previous Document Code 952 must also be declared in DE 2/1.
Should (APC) 61T be declared without the previous document code of 952 in DE 2/1, the declaration will be rejected.
IMPORT DECLARATION UPDATE
Additional Procedure Code F44

Should the additional procedure code of F44 be declared within DE 1/11 and DE 4/16, which do not contain a Valuation Method, the declaration will be rejected.
